The one tool I can't live without as a Mac user

Alright so I’ve been keeping this one close to the chest a while. Actually thats not true, if you have a Mac and I know you personally and you’ve asked me for tech help, I’ve recommended this product. I’ve been a user for about 7 years now and I honestly don’t know why I haven’t shared about it before.

But trust me, if you’re a Mac user, this tool will change your life.

If you’re a creative service provider, you know how hard Adobe programs and other editing programs are on a computer. As new updates happen, things just get slower and slower it feels like. Like you know how when an update comes out for your phone, and then a new model gets released? Then everyone suddenly feels like their phone sucks (or is it just me)?

Well I think that computers are the same way. Photoshop is brutal on memory and RAM on a computer. And if you’re into video editing…it can be the most exhausting process. Had I not had this software to help me, I would have had to get a new computer probably 3x more than I have. I made my first laptop from college last for about 7 years. Then I got a new one about 5 years ago. The software is called Clean My Mac X (they also have PC versions if you have a PC). And to date its cleaned like 4TB of data off my computer.

It cleans megatons of junk and makes your computer run faster. Just like it did on day one. We’re talking cache files, catches malware, makes your email run faster, tells you what files and apps are eating up RAM on your computer, and so much more. Like you will not believe the amount of wasted space that happens because of your phone backups, iTunes, and especially iPhoto.

I can get into a whole other post about how I do my setup of files to conserve space, but thats for another time (and honestly its nothing fancy, most creatives do the same thing).

But if there’s one piece of advice i can give you, its to get this software. Its a yearly subscription and its worth every penny.

Again, they have a PC version but I’ve only used the Mac one. I’m sure its just as amazing as the mac one but I can’t speak to it personally.
