Branding & Web Design - Simply Shire
This past year I really focused on building a community for myself - both online and here in Atlanta. Through one of my most favorite groups, Being Boss, I met Shire and we instantly hit it off. She was ready for a slight rebrand and a new website and we were so eager to get started.
Shire is the owner of Simply Shire, a New Jersey based videographer who specializes in weddings, branding and commercial videography. But what really sets her a part to me was her body of work of just capturing life's special moments. From parties, to the "First 48" - a documentary on your newborn's first 48 hours - I could tell from looking at Shire's catalog of work (and numerous client testimonials) how dedicated she is to her craft and to her clients.
Shire's logo was beautifully illustrated by a friend of hers, so all we did was update it to reflect a more modern color scheme and updated the typefaces to match her new style.
Below was the final mood board and color palette for the rebrand.
And here was the logo revamped as well as her business card design.
This was one of my favorite projects this year to work on as Shire was such a joy to talk to throughout the project. But don't just take it from me, here's what Shire had to say:
“Working with Angela was a breeze. The ease of working with her made the experience of redesigning my logo and business cards and rebuilding my website with Squarespace was wonderful. I loved the platform she used, Basecamp, because it really eliminated the back and forth emails and created folders for each conversation about specific parts of the project which was easy to reference. She gave me lots of options and I felt very comfortable saying “no I don’t like this” or “I love it!” She got a good read on me and what my goals where and hit the nail on the head with the website design. After wrapping up the project, she walked me through the site and show me how to change things in the future which was great!
